IBM PC version of Boulder Dash Construction Kit
Boulder Dash Construction Kit is the fourth game released in the Boulder Dash Series. It features game similar to the previous games and includes 15 new levels along with a construction set allowing players to design their own levels. In the game players control Rockford with the goal of collecting diamonds in boulder-filled caves; there is a limited time limit to reach the exit of each cave which can only be opened after enough diamonds have been collected. Often players need to use a careful strategy when navigating the caves; it can be possible to inadvertently trigger a series of boulders to fall and block the only path. Dangerous creatures are found in some caves as well including fireflies and butterflies; in some cases, crushing creatures with boulders is a necessity for completing a level.

All the objects from the previous Boulder Dash games are included along with several new objects. Using the construction set players may place as many or few objects where ever desired within the cave as long as there is an entrance and exit and it's possible to collect enough diamonds to open the exit. Caves can be customized by selecting colors, time limits, the number of diamonds needed, and more. When players have created the desired caves they can be setup in sequence and saved to disk.
